Gamma Knife technology for brain metastases

Brain metastases are tumorous cancer cells that spread from the rest of the body. Lung cancer, breast cancer, or malignant melanoma cause brain metastases. One or more tumors may occur. Therapy planning (surgery, whole brain radiation therapy, radiosurgery) will depend on the histology and number of metastases. Immunotherapy and/or chemotherapy is normally used.
